My little beauty.

I took these when our little Jovi was about two weeks old. I had plans for a newborn shoot but my little dear had some plans of her own and stayed wide awake the entire afternoon. These are about the only ones that turned out and I just haven't had the time or energy to do another one.

I can't believe she's almost one month old. Time has flown by! Things are starting to settle down and Jovi's on a great schedule and some nights even going 5 hours (which makes the biggest difference). I can't wait for the day when she'll sleep through the night. I'm definitely starting to feel the effects of the sleep deprivation, especially since I rarely get a nap during the day... welcome to the wonderful life of having more then one child!

Jovi is a very pleasant baby. She's been smiling since day one and on a good day she'll just look around and smile at everything. I love it! She's been a little fussy off and on lately and we think it's due to a  sensitivity to dairy. She's super gassy and pulls her legs up in pain quite a bit. Nolan had a lot of that but way more severe. It's killing me going with out my cheese and greek yogurt but it's definitely worth it to have a happy baby.

She's a great sleeper but has to be put to sleep by bouncing up and down on an exercise ball. Seriously, nothing else will put her to sleep and I still can't bring myself to let her cry herself to sleep. It kills my back but I get a little workout every time.

Nolan's been so great with her. He call's her "Pretty Girl". He points to every part of her body and says "Look at her little nose...look at her little toes...."on and on and on. He doesn't have a whole lot to do with her yet but will want to hold her a few times a day and when he does he's super gentle and soft. He's adjusted really well, something I was quite nervous about.

I still can't believe we have two kids. It's hard work but so amazing!

Birthing pictures and delivery story to come. Just waiting on some pictures.

Awww. I don't think Hazel liked dairy much and the only thing I had a hard time going without was cheese. Luckily the sensitivity is getting better. :)

she's seriously such a pretty baby! that's sweet how nolan treats her. it's always a concern when you add another child whether you have one or three!

She's so precious. I totally know all about the exercise ball. I pretty much lived on that ball with the exception of sleeping and pooping (sorry TMI hehe). That ball was the only thing that would keep her quiet. I'm so glad you have such a sweetie in your home.

I will totally do some newborns for you if you are still up for it. I can even come to your house since I need to come see it anyways. Let me know. A sunday afternoon would probably be best for me. Maybe this sunday? Just let me know :)

She is beautiful. I love all that hair.

We use an exercise ball to bounce our kids to sleep when they are babies too. We've never owned a rocking chair so...we make due with that instead. I think those balls actually work better than rocking chairs personally.

Oh and I read one time in a "sleeping baby" book that ALL babies go through a fussy period for a little while after they are born and there is nothing you can do for them other than just try your best to comfort them and get them through it.

I think I'm a bad mom though because I totally take that as permission to eat whatever I want. But I read that before I had both of my girls, and it was so true. Both of them went through a fussy phase for a couple of weeks about a month or so after they were born and then they stopped. Just knowing to expect it, helped me get through it with them. Sorry for the unasked for advice. Sometimes I hate it when people do that.

SHE IS DARLING!!! Great job you two! And Tiffany, I think she looks like you! Zandt gene is a strong one and although I have one handsome devil of a husband, it is nice to see a little of my side in Gunner every now and then! Reminds me he is mine. :) So sweet, can't wait to see more pictures!

Chandra-You're so sweet for offering to come over and do newborns. It's really ok! It's just getting my lazy butt in gear that's the problem.

Deb-I do appreciate the advice! I know babies are just fussy sometimes. I think I'm mostly just extra nervous because of all the problems we had with Nolan.

Katie-I love that she looks like me! Although everyone thinks Nolan looks like me too which I think he looks more like Rob. Oh, well!
