Swim.Bike.Run

Saturday morning we woke up extremely early and drove out to Casa Grande for Rob to participate in his first triathlon. He did an awesome job! Especially, for only training a handful of times.

I will definitely remember for future events that bringing an almost two year old, who was woken up very early to an event like this...not so much fun. By the end of the race Nolan was eating Cheez-it's off the ground that he had dropped earlier and I didn't even try to stop him. It was that bad.

I almost, half-way expected Rob to be crawling across the finish line on all fours, but to my surprise he ran all the way to the end.

One of Rob's old friends drove in from California to do the race with him.

We couldn't be more proud of our daddy. Rob has decided that his next run will be the 10k at London's Run in January. I think I might just join him. Anyone else???

I had some friends do that race too. I would love to do a tri some day but the swimming part freaks me out! I need Rob to coach me. . . or he could do the swimming part and I'll do the running. Hee Hee. Way to go. I love the feeling of accomplishing something like that. And I think its awesome you were there to support him--that always means a ton when Ryan's at the finish line.

Great job Rob! He's looking thinner! I really should do the 10k at London's Run, but I just hate running that much! Maybe next year we can do the tri as a relay and I'll just swim the 400. Even though Nolan was a pill, he sure is cute! P.S. Can't wait to see the pics from last night, I hope you got some good ones! We went back today just cuz Rusty wanted to poke around some more. There is a ton you'll love--an old firetruck, a large water tank that you could get some cool shots under, etc. I hope you take some more of your shoots out there!

That's awesome! I really would love to do a tri someday. It's so good to cross-train like that.

Way to go, Rob! And way to be a supportive wife, Tiffany! I love being a spectator at events like that. It's so inspiring. It always makes me want to be more active!

Tiffany I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your blog! I totally concur, we MUST become BEST friends! We have so much in common we'd be crazy not to hang out! That settles it...we need to go on a shopping trip. There is an antique mall in Chandler I have wanted to check out and some vintage shops in Phoenix too. It'll be SO much fun! Let's plan something soon...
