Christmas, New Years and a little in between

I'm a little behind this year (I still have our Christmas decorations up...embarrasing). So finally, here is what we've been up to this last month.
Nolan woke up at 4:45 Christmas morning and would not go back to sleep so we ended up heading over to my parents a little earlier then expected. He fell asleep in the car and he stayed like this until 9 o'clock.

When he finally woke up we all gathered around and watched him open his presents.
He sure enjoyed the attention.

But I think his favorite present was the this dog that my brother got. He loves this doggy!!! He freaks out whenever we go over there and shouts "Doggg" over and over.

After Christmas we were able to go to California with some friends and their family. We had so much fun. It was the first time we had left Nolan for more than a night. I was surprised that I didn't get too home sick for him. Of course I missed him like crazy but not as bad as I had thought. Probably because we stayed nice and busy. We rode bicycles around the bay, went on a boat ride and had so much fun.  I forgot my camera most of the trip so I stole these from Chandra's blog.

We found this photo-booth at the mall and had the bright idea to try to fit us all in. It was a little tight but so fun. We were laughing so hard the whole time.

We got home just in time for New Year's Eve where we spent it with some other friends. Nolan made it all the way to midnight. I was shocked.

I love the start of a new year. Making goals and plans to better yourself. I think my focus this year is going to be on my relationships. To make new and lasting friendships and richen the ones that I already have.  Thanks to all of you for adding so much to my life and bringing me so much comfort and joy.

Hey, I really like your new header- cute! Looks like you guys have been having lots of fun, that's great. Tony and I desperately need to take a vacation just the two of us. Probably sometime next year- lol. That's a really cute picture of you and rob on the boat, btw!

That trip looks so fun. Everyone needs a little time away. Its been way too long since Ryan and I had that. . . I'm glad you can enjoy that. And I thought it was funny how Nolan reacts to the dog. If Sophie is outside and sees the neighbor's dog walk by she cries until I take her over to it. This age is so fun!
