Cookies = Love

My mom was sweet and planned a fun Valentines morning of decorating cookies.

We then took some cookies to Rob's work and also enjoyed some lunch at the park. This was our "big date" since Rob had to work at Apple that night. Poor guy has had 15 hour days this whole week.
I sure do love my boys.

The best kind of father.

We were pretty certain Rob wasn't going to make it home for the weekend but due to his boss's generosity (and my many, many prayers) Rob surprised us Friday night. It was actually quite the surprise! He led us on a little scavenger hunt with a beautiful, pink peony (my favorite flower) left at every stop. We ended up at Nelson's Frozen Custard where he was sitting with my favorite ice cream. I honestly couldn't have cared less about the ice cream, my sweetheart was home!

Since I was sure Rob wouldn't be home for Father's Day I figured I had another week to find a gift (yes, I'm a horrible procrastinator). So Rob's Father's Day included breakfast in bed, all sorts of rubs, and my complete adoration which turned out to be quite enough for him. We were all just so happy he was home spending the day with us.

Family Pictures!!!

We got our family pictures taken back in February by my dear photographer friend, Amy Clark. You can check out some of her photography on her family blog hereShe's fantastic!!! I highly recommend her if you live in Utah (although, she is in San Diego for the summer and visits Mesa every so often). Anyways, she gave me the pictures back a few months ago and I just haven't gotten around to posting them. I had big plans of giving my blog a makeover and I wanted to showcase them then but it just never happened so here they are.

I love them! Amy captured my little family so perfectly. Nolan was awful, as can be expected from a two year old. He was definitely every photographers worst nightmare. Sorry, Amy!!!

 I haven't decided on which one I'm going to blow up real big. My favorites are the last four. What do you guys think?

*I'm so excited to see that my hair has actually gotten longer! It's finally past my shoulders. I've been so tempted to chop it off again this summer. This has given my the added strength I need to let it keep on growing.
